New 2010 Proton Lekir Concept

Malaysian Proton brand introduces the concept in his living room Lekir National Kuala Lumpur. A familiar face at the car as it is simply the Lotus Europa barely altered. Proton owns Lotus, Lotus Europa has diverted into the "concept" Lekir unveiled at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A novel way to recycle this coupe that has not achieved great success in our business during his short career. But with a Proton badge, the model could revive the markets covered by the Malaysian brand, mainly to Asia and Australia and the United Kingdom.

The Lotus Europa has been a very short career in Europe. In four years and several versions: Europa, Europa Europa S and SE, the sport has never found its customers. If Lotus had indeed done with this model does not seem to be the case of Proton (owner of the English brand) has decided to offer a second chance at small sports. Self rebadgée Proton is now called Lekir. It is currently only a concept, but if successful in his presentation at the auto show in Kuala Lumpur that he could produce a version of the Proton series. Does this change of identity will suffice to make Europe more attractive?

The general line of the car was somewhat refreshed but the differences are very subtle aesthetic. Malaysian side engine giant announced the same 4-cylinder turbocharged 2-liter 225hp fitted to the Europa SE. For the record, it allowed the small sports 995kg to go from 0 to 100km / h in 5.4 seconds.
